You may have heard of Korn, the giants of metal they are, still kicking after eighteen years of rocking my ears off. Well way back when, April 14, 2011, to be exact I heard the first single off their newest album and it moved me to a point where I just had to start a blog to write about it and spread the word to as many people as I could. I'm proud to say that nearly ten months and 10, 000 pageviews later I'm ready to put forth the complete album in all its glory.
So I was cruising Spin magazines website the other day and happened across the supposed "best metal albums" of 2011, to my delight not only was the new Mastodon album on it so was The Path of Totality, which believe it or not I had almost given up on seeing, last I checked it was delayed or maybe my local HMV was yanking my chain. Either way its out now and absolutely fucking amazing. First off lets say I attained my copy through less than legal sources but I plan on buying a physical copy at my earliest convenience, but if you can't wait grab it here on itunes or here if you don't give a fuck (just in general).
So if you happen to not be amazing then you don't have a clue whats so damn awesome about this album, well lets just say of the thirteen tracks in that .zip file none of them are unblemished by top notch dubstep. Yeah the boys shook the can and teamed up with nine different dubstep figureheads and created a masterpiece of epic proportions. Yeah you heard me right, nine, count 'em, Skrillex, Feed Me, Excision, Datsik, Downlink, Noisia, 12th Planet, Flinch, and Kill The Noise. Until you hear it you'll just have to take my word that every single track is pure gold and this album dserves more press than it has so far recieved. That being said if you're a hardcore Korn fan and have followed them from day one you might need to pull that stick out of your ass to appreciate the lengths this album pushes the limit and the industry. All in all The Path of Totality is the underdog but its day will come... its day will come.

Toxic Tuesday 24 : Nowonder + 3 Great Electronic Tracks
I love long searches around the internet looking for pictures or links, well I would love them if this post wasn't a day late. Hopefully I can get this post out with enough time for the Wednesday post... if its still Wednesday. But I digress, I figured it better to do this post late than not at all as the material today is off the charts.
I remember last Thursday, I was walking across town after work, it was dark and teaming with rain and stressed out drones honking their horns at anyone who happened to cross their paths. It was a perfect night for an escape, and so I did. I plugged in my head phones and drifted away into an epic world of music and darkness while the rain still poured. I only have one man to thank for my escape, Danny Choi, or Nowonder.
Danny is a Los Angeles based electro-pop producer, largely unknown. I came across his recent EP on TBE and was instantly drawn in by the promise of free music and the chance to hear something new. Nowonder is apparently a one man band, writing, producing, singing, mixing and recording all of his music. His EP "Colour The Concrete" is that amazing kind of unknown experience we are all looking for, blending masterful electronic styles with strings and a haunting voice. I would label it as horribly beautiful melodic ambient that pulls not only piano strings but the heart strings. So plug it in, turn it up and drift away.
Color The Concrete EP by Nowonder
Our first additional song tonight will melt your face with a wall of pure sound. Thats right its a new track from Canadian wonder Excision, his new album X-Rated dropped not too long ago and apparently he's keeping up appearances with this absolute banger featuring Messinian, X-Rated (Original Mix).
Our next track is a complete theft from TSIS, an epic new house anthem from J Flash, That'll Work. This is his first single so if you love the track as much as I do head on over to Beatport and support!
I must admit I lost a little faith in Mustard Pimp after they produced a song for Jersey Shore. But all that respect has been restored with the release of their new track, In The Garden (Instrumental).
Thanks again for stopping by, sorry about the delay, expect today's scheduled post tomorrow, hopefully I can get it all sorted out. If you feel like being a better person please consider supporting the artists and liking our Facebook page here.

Toxic Tuesday 11 : Games Day
Today I thought we'd spice it up a bit and have a kind of theme day. I know for me at least video games are a big part of my life, not quite as influential as music but gettin up there. Everyone has their own taste in music and games, but what if we smashed those tastes together? So today I thought why not showcase some of the great theme remixes and game based originals to hit the scene recently.
Our first today is a huge track from British Columbia producers Datsik and Excision, two of my favourite Canadian dubstep artists. This is a perfect blend of that industrial dubstep sound with an eight bit electro feel, I get the feeling this would make any games room or dance floor complete.

Our second homage today is to a game we all know, but may not all love, Tetris. I can't say I have the patience for it, which may be why I love dubstep so much, but speaking of dubstep this track is from a giant of the industry, Doctor P. We've heard a lot from him in the last few months as he's been doing a lot of work with Flux Pavillion (Anyone see the video for Bass Cannon?).
One thing that has been surprising me lately is the release of many amazing Zelda remixes, maybe it has something to do with the new game coming out for the 3DS or maybe cause we all love Zelda. This particular track is a Song of Storms remix by Mt Eden and Overkill, but head on over to "Here" for awesome remixes by Ephixa and remixes of those remixes by Nonelikejoshua.

Toxic Tuesday 7 : Emalkay, and Excision.
First off lets start with an apology for me being so busy over the last few days, I had to pack a room and drive it up north here on friday, then on the weekend my time was spent driving my parents around and trying to fit everything back into my house. That being said my internet connection here is prehistoric, having a download speed of about 15 kB/s, which is like not even having internet at all. But excuses aside, on to our seventh Toxic Tuesday.
Our first artist today is Emalkay, a dubstep giant from Birmingham, UK. You may remember a while back we had a remix by Ephixa and Stephen Walking of his song "When I Look At You", and if you thought it couldn't get any better, think again.
Our second artist today is, I would say, the majority of talent in British Columbia, aside from Downlink. Excision, is straight up in my top five dubstep producers, rising even higher when I narrow it down to Canadians. Everyone always talks about having a "Trademark sound" really I think Excision more has a trademark feel. His work is that amazing easily done laid back sense to it, like he could make it better but it might kill you.
The link above will get you a mix from Excisions facebook, fully an hour long. Most tracks of that size lose their pace after about fifteen minutes, fewer still manage to hold the attention of the listener for the full hour, lets just say you had better have an hour to spare. The tracklist for the mix can be found here, and another three mixes of the same size can be found on his Soundcloud, as well as ten free tracks by Excision including the hilarious "Whalestep".
Thanks for checking us out and sorry for the wait, in a perfect world I would have a better connection, no nagging parents, and the money to not need a job... speaking of money, if you can please support the bands we post, everything counts even a like on Facebook or a subscribe on Youtube. I don't own these tracks and they are for promotional purposes only, so don't abuse the privileges, and stay tuned for more.

This is Emalkay's debut dubstep album, and his years of producing grime and garage music definately show through as this is the dirtiest dubstep we've posted for a long time. With aptly placed vocals to offset the low bass lines, this albums usually kicks it around 140 BPM, no surprise really, so turn the volume up and the bass down low.
